Super Mushroom Computer Case Mod
By
Pics: s29.photobucket.com This is my 8-bit Super Mushroom Case Mod. If you got some time to burn, oh I don’t know, about 50 hours and about 1500 wooden cubes this is what you get. This is a Home Theater PC *HTPC*. It has only one fan and is quite capable at gaming if it is needed to. I will be doing more 8-bit computer cases but it will probably not be for a little bit
. If anyone would be interested in a similar htpc case (commisioned) send me a message. Enjoy the video and spread it around. I would like to get some six digit views on this video. (A man can dream lol). Also Search youtube for Black Mage computer for my other 8-bit computer I built. Thank you for you time!

Monitor calibration test: Adjust tint until it doesn’t look like a 1-Up.

Nah, The computer would have to get crazy hot for it to spontaneously com-bust the wood. I have another wooden mod built the same way and it hasn’t caught fire in the 16 months i have had it

probably a few hours to get the main design down. I winged a few parts as I went but it came out well

I tried to make them glow but since the mushrooms eyes are black i had to use black stain glass and I couldnt get any LED’s to penetrate through it. I tried though

Not much other than it being awesome

Looks very nice, one small question, did you do anything to the blocks to give them some sort of heat protection for the off chance that something goes and ends up overheating?
May 24th, 2010 at 7:13 am
so how long did it take to plan out the design?
also nice companion cube
May 24th, 2010 at 7:34 am
Oh wow this is just as impressive as the original mage case. Did you consider making the eyes glow when you turn it on? That would be badass!

is there anything beneficial to having this type of case ?
